New Food Market in Luddendenfoot

The lucky people of Luddendenfoot have a new monthly market right on thier doorstep at the Luddendenfoot community centre, the Good Grub Club! Following on from Food Circle Huddersfield, Lyndsey of Company Bread in Halifax decided her local community needed a food market too. One with real food producers who are local, do things proper and can tell the people of Luddendenfoot all about it.

If you've followed my content or story for any length of time you'll know how much I believe in circular local food economies. Grwoing food globally in mass amounts at teh cheapest possible cost then big market dominating supermarkets buying it up to sell to us has so many downsides at every point of the process. This isn't just an issue that affects farmers and growers, it affects everyone.

Markets like Food Circle Huddersfield which I helped set up in December 2024 and Good Grub Club are proactive in bringing together farmers and customers for an alternative solution.
